1. It's always best to create an email address that you can easily access.  This email address is used only for travel and booking purposes so you can keep track of all the deals that come to you.  Don't use your regular email address, especially if you don't want newsletters and promo emails clogging up your inbox.  I suggest using GMail or YahooMail for an easy to access, easily linked to mobile, email address.  Some formats can be - thomasfamvacay@gmail.com, joneshoneymoon@ymail.com, etc.  I recommend GMail, so it will be easier to follow this blog!
2. Figure out where you want to go.  Are you looking to do some local, national or international?  Is it someplace you've been, or are you exploring new territory?  Is it the right time of year for a specific place?  We often choose the right place at the wrong time and end up spending top dollars for a high traffic season.  Ex.  If you're planning on going to Rio De Janeiro, you may want to seriously avoid going during the Carnival Season.  If you absolutely must, then stay tuned to this blog.  I will show you how you can two people can see Rio on a great budget. 
3. Search web for new destinations, cities that are rising in tourism and places you've seen on television.
4. Compile a list of activities, what you're going to do, things you'd like to see, and things you'd like to try.
5.
